Goldstone PE Project Final Reflection

PE leaders -
1.  What adjustments and improvements did you make in your lessons (structure, activities, organization, instructions) from the first lesson to the last one?
Our first time, we didn't know what we were doing because none of us really had a fully understanding as teaching children before. But over the following weeks we stepped our game up and our setting up and organization got soo much better. The activities we had set up for the kids they all enjoyed and our classmates enjoyed them so much to that they started using our ideas as some of theirs. The instructions in my opinion were demonstrated and understood very good, if there were any questions we were always there to help them out and make sure they understood and that they could enjoy the game.

2.  What was the biggest challenge for your group?  For you?
In my opinion the biggest challenge was finding out who wanted to do what and sometimes I had to step up to the plate and take charge and I was okay with that and so were my group members. But as a group we worked hard to make sure the kids had a smile every time they left the gym.

3.  Describe your favourite moment as a leader and explain why.
Taking charge and explaining our activities and see the kids faces because they were so excited to play, or try what we had set up for them. Also seeing how much fun they were having trying to beat there friends in the relays we set up in the beginning of the week.

4. What do you still need to work on?  What improvements would you make if you were continuing teaching for another month?
Getting the kids attention, regret getting my whistle earlier, because that helped a lot to get there attentions.

PE Buddies -
1.  What are some of the things that you learned being a PE buddy?
Better leadership skills, the kids were looking up to us and had to show a good leadership skill because they all learn from what they see and a strong first impression is always good

2.  Did your comfort level change over the course of the month?  Why or why not?
Yes it did, I got closer with the class we were teaching some kids were happy to see me and my group.

3.  What was your favourite part of being a buddy?  Be specific.

Seeing the kids faces when they were having so much fun enjoying all the games we had set up for them, they were always involved, and no one was ever left out, everyone was just happy always to see the big kids from the high school.
